1) Just for fun: Have you ever re-gifted something that was given to you?

If your Life Group has not met since we began Christmas BC, feel free to go through the previous questions from Part 1 & 2.

2) Who is the most peaceful person you know?  What have you learned from them?

3) Do you have something in your life right now you wish was different? How will having peace help you through this difficult time?

4) Out of all the titles that could have been assigned to the coming King, why do you think God gave him the title "Prince of Peace"?  What does this name tell us about the character of God?

5) Of the 3 points listed below from the message 'Prince of Peace', which one impacted you the most and why?
-More success does not mean more peace.
-Peace is not simply the power of positive thinking.
-Peace is the result of a relationship with the Prince of Peace.

Questions for week Dec 15th - 21st

Everlasting Father

If you have not met since Christmas BC began, you can click here and go through the questions for Wonderful Counselor as well as the ones below. 

1) What are some of your Christmas Traditions (past or present)?  Do you have any Traditions that you would like to start?

2) As a small group, read Isaiah 9:6. Out of all of the things we tend to want from life in general and God in particular, why do you think He specifically gave us an “Everlasting Father”?  What does this name tell us about the character of God?

3) Oftentimes how we view our earthly father is how we also tend to view God our Heavenly Father. What are some common ways people tend to do this?  How has your view of your father affected your view of God?

4) Share about a time in your life when God was more than God to you, he was a Father to you.

This week, pray specifically for any group members who are in need of an Everlasting Father. Pray that this Christmas they will experience God’s love, peace and healing in a new and life-changing way.

Spend some time reflecting upon all the things that God did in your group and in your individual member’s lives in 20013. Celebrate God’s everlasting love!

Questions for week Dec 8th - 14th

1) Just for fun: Who is done with all their Christmas shopping?  Who ends up waiting until the last minute to purchase their gifts?

2) What are some of the oddest names you have ever heard of?  As you can tell, our names matter.  Is there any significance to your name (were you named after someone, etc.)?

3) What is the best way you prepare your heart and mind for the Christmas Season?

4) Even though we already know that God already knows everything, why do you think we find it difficult to be honest with Him and try to hide our sin or distrust from Him?  Has God ever made you feel unloved because of your past?  Then how can we move from hiding to confiding in him?

5) How do you best hear from God (through reading his word, hearing that still small voice, through others conversations with you, etc.)?

6) Jesus is our Wonderful Counselor, in what way can we be a wonderful counselor to someone else this Christmas Season?

Questions for week November 24th - 30th

The G.Q. – Gratitude Quotient

1) Just for fun: What are your plans for Thanksgiving? 
(If you are life group is meeting after Thanksgiving) What did you do for Thanksgiving this year?

2) Is there someone you know who has legitimate reasons to be bitter and miserable and yet they aren’t? How has their attitude affected you?

3) Do you know someone who has seemingly “everything” yet they seem to be grateful for nothing? How has their attitude affected you?

4) Luke 6:45 says, “What you say flows from what’s in your heart.” Based on this verse would you say that your words reflect a heart of gratitude or ungratefulness?

5) 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.”  Why do you think God told us to be thankful? How does this verse make you feel when your circumstances are quite ugly?

6) As we move through this week of Thanksgiving, what are some of the things that you will be most grateful for?

1) Just for Fun: What food dish do you look forward to enjoying the most at Thanksgiving?  

2) Last week learned about Choosing Worship.  Was there a time last week that you were able to put this into practice?

3) Pastor Mark shared the story about Herbert Hoover and how in Finland, to Hoover means to be kind or to offer assistance and support, to be benevolent. If people were to make a verb out of your last name, what would you want it’s definition to be?

4) Who is the most generous person you know in the world today? Why would you describe them in this way?

5) Most people say that if they win the lottery they will be more generous but statistically this just isn’t true. Why do you think so?

6) What idea, phrase, scripture, or story from Sunday’s message has changed your understanding of generosity? In what way has your understanding been changed?

7) What is something you can do this next week to plant Gospel seeds?

Questions for week Nov 3rd - 9th

1) Just for fun: Share with everyone the best thing that happened to you this past week.

2) How do you think most people define worship?  How would you define worship?

3) Who do you know that can find something good to focus on even in the worst of circumstances?  Who do you know that can find something bad to focus on in the best of circumstances?  Which one of the people you mentioned do find has the best relationships with God, family, and friends?  What can we learn from this and how can we apply that knowledge remembering that Worshippers can always find something to praise God about and Complainers can always find something to be down about?

4) When Paul and Silas worshiped, it not only changed their attitude, it changed their circumstances.  Can you name a time in your life where either your attitude, or attitude and circumstances, were changed due to your worship?

5) How can you incorporate more worship into you life this next week?
