Questions for week June 2nd-8th


Finish.

1) Have you ever did something physically exhausting like a 5k, hike a trial, boot camp, marathon, etc?

2) If you could do one crazy activity as a life group what could it be? Make some plans and accomplish that goal.

3) When Jay asked the question... “Are we living to finish well?”
What emotions or thoughts came to mind?

4) How can we make sure we don’t get to the end of our life and ask “What do you do when it’s too late to chase your dreams?”

5) In life, when have you found yourself limping or walking?

6) Have you ever went through an experience or sin that made you feel like you were disqualified from the race? Do you feel that way now? 

7) How can Sunday's message help us understand that disqualification doesn't have to be our future?

8) Read 2 Timothy 4:7-8 
What hope do you have that you can RUN the race of life and finish strong?

9) Discuss how we can follow in the footsteps of Paul and finish strong.

Questions for week May 26th - June 1st

Life Wide Open

1) Ice Breaker Question- As a child, what did you wish to become when you grew up?

2) Have you ever experienced a moment where you realized how fast life was passing by? How did it effect you?

3) Jesus said in John 10:10, I have come that you may have live, and that you may have it more abundantly. On a scale of 1-10 how abundant do you feel your life is at present?  

If someone's answer was that they don't feel their life is very abundant, how would you encourage them?

4)  Tina talked about how we place ceilings (or limitations) in our lives by saying, "We can go no higher than this", "be no greater than this." What are some of the ceilings that you have placed in your life?  Has God ever ripped the ceiling off and showed you what you can do and be?

5) In what area of your life do you feel God is using you to fulfill His purpose in this generation?

6) When all is said in done in your life, what do you hope will have been said and done?

Questions for week May 19th - 25th


Overcoming Offense

1) Ice Breaker Question: What is one thing you have accomplished in your life that you never thought you could? 

2) In the sermon Mark mentioned that the smallest of things could cause offense, like someone cutting you off in traffic.  What is one of the smallest things you have experienced that caused you to be offended?

3) It is easier for some people to offer grace than others.  What is your first go to when you are offended by a person’s actions or comments- do you offer grace and the benefit of the doubt, like maybe the person had a bad day, or do you get offended?

4) Has someone offended you in the past and you now recognize that you have placed a label on them and they are forever known to you by that action?  

5) Have you ever put a label on a person and then once you really got to know them you realized they were nothing like you thought?  Do you think someone has ever put a label on you that was not a true picture of who you really are?

6) Why do you feel we find it so hard to forgive others especially when we ourselves are in such need of it?

7) Was there ever a time in your life that someone offended you and you were able, through God’s grace, to forgive and allow God to heal you?  What was your greatest lesson you learned from this time in your life?

1) What was the one meal you LOVED for your mom to cook?  What was the one meal that you HATED for your mom to cook?

2) What was the biggest lesson your mom (or the woman who helped raise you) taught you?

3) If you have yet to have kids, what is the thing that scares you the most about raising children and being a parent?

3) If you do have kids, what has been your greatest frustration about raising children?  How have you been able to manage your frustration?

4) What is one of the one greatest pieces of advice you would give a new or expectant mom?

The Party

Hey Leaders and CoLeaders,

Because there was not a sermon this past Sunday, May 5th, we do not have any questions per se.  

If you meet the week of May 5th-11th you can either refer to the Strapped questions since the last message of the series was probably preached since you last met.  Or you can just celebrate with your group all that CCA is and means to you all, give testimonies about lives changed in the church, etc.

1) Just for fun, What’s in your wallet- is there anything unique you keep in your wallet?

2) Even though we trust God with our eternal soul, why do you feel it is so difficult for us to trust God with our temporal money?

3) Can you share a time in your life where you trusted God with your finances (moved Him up on your list of priorities and gave to Him first) and He in turn blessed you with incredible blessings?
