1) Sunday's sermon was intro'ed with a video of two men playing basketball and talking about their dads. At one point they compared their fathers to a TV sitcom dad. If you had to compare your father to a sitcom TV dad, which one would he be?
2) Can you share one of your fondest memories of your father? How has that memory help shape you as an adult?
3) Some people have grown up either not knowing who their father was or maybe they did know him but he was not a good role model for them. Even in these situations there is still something of value that can be gleaned from this experience. Romans 8:28 tells us, And we know that God causes EVERYTHING to work together for the good of those who love God. So if your relationship with your father does not hold the fondest of memories, is there any good from that experience that has help shape you as an adult that you can share?
4) When you think about Jesus while he was on earth, what kind of man did you always believe he was? (manly and rough, mushy and soft, or somewhere in-between) What lead you to have those beliefs?
5) In point #2 Pastor Mark shared the Correct Picture of Jesus... He was not above losing his cool on matters of significance. He was not above calling sin, sin. He was not afraid to call even his friends out when necessary. After hearing this, how will this knowledge affect your actions in the future?
6) In the last point, Pastor share the Complete Picture of Jesus... He rejected passivity. He accepted the responsibility. He embraced the difficulty. Of the three, which is the easiest for you to do and which is the hardest for you to do?
