Bruised but not Broken
1) Take some time and share a time in your life where you asked WHY to God?
2) How have you in the past struggled to focus on the WHO and instead focused on the WHY?
3) How can suffering sometimes blind us to God's love?
4) How have you found it hard to trust God in your present or past suffering?
5) How would your reaction to suffering be different if your were not a follower of Jesus?
6) What will it take for us to get to the place where we can say to God as Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane, “Abba, Father,” he cried out, “everything is possible for you. Please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.” Mark 14:36 (NLT)
7) How can reflecting on Jesus’ sacrificial death and victorious resurrection encourage us in our suffering?
8) If we know God is in control and we never know WHY we went through something are we okay with that?
9) How has God healed you of your suffering? How has He gave you strength in your past struggles?
As you close your time together, take some time and share what you need prayer for and maybe a struggle you are dealing with in this moment.
