Questions for week May 31st - June 6th

A Vital Vision
Graduation Sunday

1)  Just for fun: Where did you graduate high school and what year?

2)  People have defined life as a roller coaster, a party, a puzzle, a symphony, a journey, a dance, a race, and so much more. Out of these things, how would you define your life and why would you define it that way?

3) Read Romans 12:2. “Do not be conformed to this world,” seems pretty clear. Yet many followers of Christ struggle with it. Slowly and gradually we allow the philosophy and thinking of the world to influence us, and oſten we don’t even notice.

  • What causes us to fail to see our own personal conformity to the world?
  • What excuses do we oſten make?
  • What is the difference between being conformed to the world and simply living in the world?
4) Read James 1:12. What do you feel has been your greatest test in life and how well do you feel you passed the test?  What lesson did you learn from your testing?

5) Read Psalm 39:4. How does the reality of this verse land on you? How would we live our lives differently if we woke up everyday praying this verse?

6) Think of an area of your life where you worry the most. Now read Jeremiah 29:11. How does this verse affect you when thinking about the things in life that overwhelm and worry you?

7)  God gave Israel 3 things they should do while they were living in a foreign land: Be Productive, Keep Growing and Keep Serving (Jeremiah 29:5-7). Which one is the easiest for you to do and why? Which one do you struggle the most with and why?

8)  What has been one of your greatest inspirations to live a successful life? (Could be a person, an experience, etc.)
