3) Read Romans 12:2. Do not conform yourselves to the standards of this world, but let God transform you inwardly by a complete change of your mind. Then you will be able to know the will of God—what is good and is pleasing to him and is perfect.
How have you conformed your standards to the world's standards?

Questions for week March 9th - 15th

What on Earth am I Here For?
The Concept of Calling
Part 1

1) Just for fun: What is one of your favorite sit coms: past or present? Which ones did you grow up watching?

2) Life Is Not About Me. There is freedom in knowing our lives are not about us but about God and others. Sadly, the world communicates the idea that life is all about me. Where do you see this worldly, selfish philosophy proclaimed in our culture? How can a believer defend against the “it’s all about me” philosophy?

3) Read Romans 8:28 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” How has God used the everything in your life (good and bad) to allow you to walk in greater purpose?

4) Mark shared about how we can sometimes try and accomplish things in our life that we were never created to do. Have you experienced the same in your life? What lessons did you learn from it?

5) What purposes have you discovered that God has birthed you for?  How can/do you use your purposes to Love God, Love People and Serve Others?

Close out your time together praying for God to allow everyone in your group to walk in greater purpose than ever before.

Questions for week March 2nd - 8th

Relabeled
Jay Porter

1) Just for fun: What is your favorite movie quote?

Spend a few minutes as a group reading Galatians 5:16-25.

2) Did you have a nickname growing up? Was it associated with something you did?

3) What was one thing from the message that stood out to you?

4) What has been your history with labels?

5) Are there any labels from your past still trying to impact your future?

6) Which of the following labels from verses 19-21 do you struggle with the most?

7) Instead of the labels of our sinful flesh, Jesus helps us win the battle that goes on inside of us. We can instead be known for love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

8) Jay asked us this question and it’s one we need to seriously think about:
When people think of us, do these labels (verses 22-23) come to mind?

9) How has God helped you win the battle of your flesh this past week?

Take time to pray as a group that God will be seen in us and through us.
