-lack genuine humility
-we find ourself complaining more than worshiping
-we are quick to excuse our behavior instead of owning it and being responsible for it
-we seek to be served rather than seeking to serve others
-we view the things of God as an obligation to be endured rather than an opportunity to be enjoyed
-we always think this sermon is for everyone else but us
