Small Changes Make Big Differences
Part 1
1) Just for fun: Do you have any New Year's Day traditions?
2) Do you make New Years Resolutions?
If you do, are you good at sticking with them?
Is there anything you do to prepare yourself mentally and/or spiritually for the new year (Ex. Starting a reading plan, get more organized, etc.)?
3) Has there been anyone in your life who has given you some of the most invaluable advice that has helped shape and mold your life, your marriage, your career or your relationships? Share the bit of wisdom with your group.
4) Are there changes in your life that need to be made, yet they seem to be overwhelming? How does the idea of making small changes help you get started?
5) Read Matthew 25:14-29.
When it comes to faith, God doesn’t condemn effort, He condemns apathy.
Have you ever found yourself as the faithful servants?
Have you ever found yourself as the lazy servant?
Re-read verse 29. How does this verse make you feel?
6) Read Psalm 27:4.
What “one thing” was David committed to above anything else?
What is your one thing or word for 2015?
End you time together as a group praying for each other to stay faithful and true to their commitments in 2015.
